CABIN AIR FILTER

WHAT IS A CABIN AIR FILTER?

The cabin air filter makes sure you have clean, fresh air to breathe while driving.

WHY DO I NEED TO CHANGE IT?

Change your cabin air filter regularly to ensure that you breathe clean air while driving. Oilstop will inspect your cabin air filter and recommend changing it if necessary.

ENGINE AIR FILTER

WHAT IS AN ENGINE AIR FILTER?

Your air filter keeps road dust and dirt out of your engine.

WHY DO I NEED TO CHANGE IT?

A new air filter will improve your vehicle’s overall engine performance. It removes contaminants from the air before they enter the engine combustion chamber. The cleaner the engine, the longer your vehicle will run.

POWER STEERING SERVICE

WHAT IS POWER STEERING?

Power steering lets you turn your steering wheel easily, no matter how winding the road.

WHY DO I NEED TO CHANGE IT?

Clean power steering fluid provides more power to your steering wheel, making it easier to turn. Oilstop recommends you change your power steering fluid once every 30,000 miles.

DIFFERENTIAL SERVICE

WHAT IS A DIFFERENTIAL?

The differential is a part of your transmission which helps the wheels turn at different speeds if terrain and conditions call for it.

WHY DO I NEED TO CHANGE IT?

Differential fluid lubricates the gears in the differential so it operates without friction.

WHAT IS THE COOLING SYSTEM?

A coolant service helps keep your engine purring and cruising, even on the hottest days.

WHY SHOULD I CHANGE IT?

Like all engine fluids, coolant will eventually become dirty and less effective. Oilstop recommends changing your coolant every 15,000 miles to avoid overheating. This will extend the life of your water pump, heater core and radiator, meet or exceed warranty requirements, and reduce or eliminate potential serious repairs. Most importantly, this will keep you traveling safely during hot days.

TRANSFER CASE SERVICE

What is a Transfer Case?

If you drive a 4-wheel drive or All-wheel drive vehicle, the transfer case delivers power from the engine to all of the wheels.

Why do I need to change it?

Transfer case fluid ensures proper functioning by lubricating the box’s gears, bearings, shafts, and other internal components. This helps provide power to all your wheels.

TRANSMISSION SERVICE

What is transmission fluid?

Transmission fluid keeps your car shifting through the gears with ease.

Why do I need to change it?

Over time, transmission fluid will become clouded with debris from engine parts. This can lead to your engine overheating and more serious problems. Oilstop recommends changing transmission fluid every 15,000 miles for automatic transmissions and every 15,000-30,000 miles for manual transmissions, depending on the manufacturer.

Replacements Services

With replacements, the difference is in the details.

What are these details and why are they important?

Seemingly minor components like your radiator cap and windshield wipers can play a critical role in the functioning and safety of your vehicle. For instance, a faulty radiator cap can compromise the efficiency of a cooling system which can lead to poor fuel economy and even damage to your engine. That's why we give unparalleled attention to every little detail - because those little details can be the difference between a happy vehicle and an unhappy owner. These small components should be checked regularly to keep your entire car in great shape. Oilstop’s pros can inspect these parts and replace them as needed.

A collection of car parts that Oilstop will check during the 33-point inspection

What Are the components that you inspect?

Radiator Cap

The radiator cap is more than just a “lid” for your radiator. It also seals and pressurizes the coolant inside the radiator, and keeps your engine running at the correct temperature (typically around 230°F). Maintaining the coolant at the correct pressure prevents the fluid from boiling and escaping from the radiator, which can cause damage to your engine. Oilstop will inspect your radiator cap to determine if it is functioning properly and replace it as needed. Our radiator caps meet or exceed factor warranty requirement, satisfaction guaranteed.

Valve Stem Cap

Are you missing a valve cap? No worries. Oilstop will replace valve stem caps at no charge.

Windshield Wipers

Old or damaged windshield wipers reduce your driving visibility and can even damage your windshield. The normal life expectancy of a rubber blade of a windshield wiper is 6 to 12 months. Oilstop carries high quality, competitively priced windshield wiper blades that fit your vehicle. We’ll even install them at no cost while you wait in your car! And you have our guarantee that if our wipers fail to function properly within 6 months of purchase, we’ll replace them for free.

Air Filters

Filtering the air you breathe is important, which is why Oilstop offers cabin air filter replacement services. But filtering the air your car’s engine breathes is just as important, which is why Oilstop will inspect and replace your car’s air filter and breather filter. Breather filters are designed to maximize ventilation and help relieve crankcase pressure and recycled vapor, the common causes of weaker throttle response. For a clean engine and a fresh cabin, let Oilstop inspect and change your filters.
